TPD: clears your debts, replaces part of your income until 65, and allows for care and home changes, less your savings and super.

Trauma: covers income while you recover plus treatment costs, less your savings.

Income protection: your income × the lower of your chosen share or 70% (the usual policy cap), per month.

Income is valued as a lump sum that could pay it over time, assuming the return and inflation under More options. Lump sums are rounded up to the nearest $1,000. Tax on benefits paid through super, premiums and a partner's income aren't included.
